Baby Roen is attracted to the plastic bone Furgee the chug keeps picking up and chewing on. But Furgee appears to have something else in mind, like helping the baby figure out crawling. So the pup picks up the bone, chews a bit, then drops it, each time a little out of reach.
Furgee seems to understand that dropping it too far away would be counter productive. By dropping it just out of reach, the dog keeps the baby’s interest, and the baby keeps practicing crawling.

Smart dog and determined baby —great combination
You’re so right, Sterling, and now that our grandbaby, Sunday, has fallen in love with Wilbur, I’m thinking maybe he can work on this too.
So funny! But also very impressive.
When the dog first dropped the plastic bone, I figured he was just trying to play. But he’s very deliberate and canny about it.
