This is likely one of the baby’s first trips to the zoo. Grandma holds him up to the glass of the chimp enclosure. A young chimp, about the size of the baby, is fascinated.
The two interact. Whenever the baby looks away, the chimp stops playing. Only eye-to-eye contact interests the chimp.
Although I hate seeing chimps in zoos, I was fascinated by the interaction of these two young beings, connecting with each other across species.
